Winona Area September Community Gathering!

You and your family are invited to join us on Sunday, September 28 at the Crossings Center in Lewiston, beginning at 4pm, for our September Community Gathering! Bring a potluck dish to share and your whole family to enjoy fellowship and time together, strengthening families and marriages. 

At this month’s gathering, we will be wrapping up our 2025 topic on the main points of The Rule. The topic for this month is Christian Morality (The Rule #3): the Evangelical Counsels and their role in marriage and family. Rather than hearing from a speaker on this topic, we would like to draw wisdom from all in attendance on how living out poverty, chastity, and obedience in marriage can lead to heroic virtue in the Christian moral life. We will have a prompted small group discussion on these three counsels with lots of real-life examples to draw from. No preparation required, just show up and be ready to discuss the movements of the Holy Spirit in your own marriage and family!

Schedule for the gathering:

4-4:15pm: arrival and social time

4:15pm: welcome, marriage anniversary blessing, praying of Evening Prayer*

4:45-5:30pm: potluck dinner and fellowship 

5:30-6pm: “Christian Morality” discussion (playground and rec courts available for children during talk)

6pm: Closing prayer 

*Please bring a Breviary if you have one, or download the iBreviary app on your smartphone to pray along. Hard copies of Evening Prayer will also be available in a limited quantity.
