JPII Feast Day Celebration report!

On October 21st, Married Couple Groups in the WCI family from across the world gathered online for a special Rodzinka Night Live! celebration! RNL is our quarterly leader gathering, annually opened joyfully to all Married Couple Group members in celebration on the vigil of the Feast of St. John Paul II. Despite the miles between us, the evening was filled with connection, laughter, and gratitude!
We kicked off the night by watching video greetings from several of our international couples who were unable to join live due to time differences. Even though they couldn’t be on the call, it was such a gift to see their faces and hear their greetings.
It was also a reminder that the Rule is spreading around the world! We then welcomed couples from all across the United States, sharing quick hellos and smiles that brought energy and a sense of joy and connection right from the start.
The fun continued with a lively Kahoot! St. John Paul II Feast Day Trivia game. Congratulations to our winners, Les Couillions from Lafayette, who impressed everyone with their quick answers and took first place!
One of the most exciting moments of the evening came with some breaking news: La Regla, the Spanish translation of The Rule, was officially announced to be printed and published—on St. John Paul II’s feast day no less! Maria, who worked so hard on the translation, shared her excitement and joy in seeing this project come to completion. This milestone opens the door for the Hispanic community and Spanish-speaking couples to more fully engage with the mission of WCI, expanding the reach of JP II’s Rule and impact in a powerful way.
Next came our awards ceremony, where we took time to recognize and thank so many people who help make the WCI possible. A special shout-out was given to our WCI team, mentor couples, leader couples who launched new MCGs in the past year, leaders who have begun Workbook 2, and our beloved WCI Angels whose monthly support sustains the mission.
The major awards of the night were presented to:
The Light of Poland Award – Alli & Jordan Malikowski, for helping to carry the light of Poland onward to others
The Unleashing Love Award – Hannah Murphy, for exemplifying saintly suffering this year
The Heart of Wojtyła Award – Ian & Kayla Leavitt, for their generosity throughout the year
The Rodzinka Joy Award – Cedar Rapids, for having the most couples on the call
We were also blessed to have Jason and Crystalina join us as our guest speakers. They were presented with WCI’s first annual Voice of Truth Award, in recognition of their work preaching the truth about love and human sexuality as God intended.
Crystalina shared a bit about her story and her four pillars for healing: adoration, Catholic counselling and therapy, confession, and setting healthy boundaries. Jason then reflected on how he supported Crystalina through her healing journey before and within marriage. Together, they reminded us of the importance of working intentionally on ourselves and our marriages—for the benefit of each other and our children—and of addressing issues early with gentleness, respect, and love.
Rodzinka Night Live was a beautiful evening of fun, encouragement and celebration. We look forward with joy to all that God has in store for our growing WCI family.
